The broad and gentle runs at the top of the mountain cater well for beginners and families, along with two dedicated children's areas. For confident skiers, we love the thigh-burning Horgaletten downhill and if you’re into off-piste, Voss is renowned for its powder.
This historic town has nurtured more Winter Olympic athletes than anywhere else in the world, earning 6 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals since 1948. It's a mecca for extreme sports, drawing some of the world's best freeriders, paragliders and skydivers.
Brits always receive a warm welcome here, having been visiting since the 19th century.
The resort became more accessible in 2020 with the introduction of Voss Gondol, an impressive new gondola connecting the train station to the mountain. This means from your hotel in town, you can be on the slopes in 10 minutes.
