Canada’s second largest ski area, Sun Peaks has the ultimate in ski-in ski-out convenience, plus an exciting programme of non-ski activities.

Spread across three mountains, the skiing combines steeps on Tod Mountain with cruisers on Sundance and glades on Morrisey. All levels can ski together, and the ski school is reliably good.

There’s also a huge variety of other activities, from First Tracks breakfast and backcountry tours to evening starlight descents. And if you’re visiting with little ones, the Sundance Kids Centre has a daily childcare programme for children from 18 months to five years.

You’ll find a good range of bars and family-friendly restaurants in the Tyrolean-style village, as well as après activities that include guided ice fishing and sleigh rides. The annual winter wine festival is another great addition, and we always try to catch a Kamloops Blazers hockey match when we’re here.

To experience more, Sun Peaks ski holidays make a great combination with Whistler - our Whistler Peaks Ski Safari gives you the chance to ski Canada’s two largest ski areas on the same trip.

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.

Fantastic family resort with very friendly and accommodating lift staff. We found the resort very relaxing and easy to find our way around. It could do with a little more life going on in the evening and a Apres ski bar would do well!

A great resort for convenience of ski in ski out, 'dry' snow, no lift queues and empty slopes. Worth the additional travel time and flight from Kamloops, although a lot of luggage didn't make the transfer and it seems this is a daily occurrence and very inconvenient for those it affected with all their luggage ( we just had a delay on our skis and boots) A fairly quiet resort with not a lot of options for dining out but just about enough for variation. 'On mountain' dining options were poor, you're better off skiing to the village as there is more choice and it's so easy to get down and back up again.

The Hosts make the holiday very special. Only drawback is without a car you are stuck there.

Why We Love Spring Skiing

28th April 2017 - Craig Charley

We love spring skiing. In fact, we love it so much that 17 of us (nearly three quarters of our team) have been skiing in March or April this season. Everyone has their own reasons for loving spring, from a deep snow base and fresh powder to the high potential for bluebird days. In our final snow...

The Countdown Begins

21st October 2016 - Craig Charley

The ski season is now just weeks away! While a handful of resorts are already offering limited glacier skiing, most will be fully open by the end of November. Two weeks ago we took a look at the first snowfall photos across the USA, now the rest of the world is catching up. Most notably, Whistler...
