Connected by a high-speed gondola, the ski area spans more than 7,300 acres, with 17 peaks and 14 bowls, so it gives a real feeling of travelling while cruising along tree-lined groomers. The off-piste glade skiing is fantastic, with many areas easily accessible to first-time powder skiers and riders. Snowboarders are also in their element, with superb terrain parks and six natural half-pipes.

The town’s colourful buildings are home to atmospheric bars, restaurants and swanky shops. Non-ski activities include bobsleighing in the Olympic Park and whisky tasting at the world's only ski-in distillery, while January sees the annual Sundance Film Festival.

Park City is also a great base for visiting Utah's 'Mighty Five' National Parks, the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas or other Utah resorts - see our Utah & National Parks Ski Safari to find out more.

"The biggest and most diverse ski area in the USA, Park City has a fantastic ski town and loads to do off the slopes."

Customer Reviews

What our customers say about Park City.

Stayed Canyons side which was less busy than Park but great connecting buses to go into old town or out to outlets. Ski area is immense and something for everyone.

Good variety of skiing. Immaculate piste grooming in relatively warm conditions. Ski school at Deer Valley exceptional.

Excellent resort for skiing with Park City Mountain Resort and Deer Valley being on your doorstep. Also plenty of apres activity with bars, restaurants and non ski activities to do. With Vail Resorts involvement and its close proximity to Salt Lake airport is is becoming very busy.

Always super snow conditions when we visit here. Lots of varied pistes/runs to ski. Plenty to keep all abilities happy. Easy to get away from the crowds once you've taken the first lift up from PC base. Still needs better mountain lodge facilities in the centre of Canyons. So easy to get to now direct flights to SLC are back.

Loads of skiing/snowboarding with variety of runs. Lines all seemed pretty short even in spring break. Snow was great, although we were told it was tshirt weather the week before we got epic snow. Plenty to do in the town too, old town is beautiful with loads of art galleries and even a few Banksy's to spot if you are into that! Other activities such as tubing, snow shoeing or sledding probably ne…

Fantastic skiing and great snow; uncrowded and super-friendly, with minimal queuing for lifts. The only drawback is the shortage of on-slope eating options, made worse by some restaurants being closed because of staff shortages.

Huge ski area, with lots of different terrain to suit all abilities. The locals were complaining about this seasons lack of snow, but they had good coverage to base level and over a period of 3 days we had 250mm of snowfall. In my opinion the Park City Village gives access to more pistes which suit beginners and early intermediates. Canyons Village has less beginner and early intermediate terrain …

We really enjoyed Park City - there was a wide range of slopes for all abilities, great mountain lodges and we had great snow. There are also a number of other great resorts from 15 mins to 1 hour drive away.

Fantastically extensive and attractive ski ing. It was unfortunate that Utah had had it's worst snowfall record and high spring temperatures for years which made the snow hard and icy in the mornings and slushy by afternoon. We understand that there's always an element of risk as to how conditions can be and we were just unlucky--especially as our usual haunts in Europe this year have had great sn…
