The USA’s largest single ski area, this historic silver mining town is a direct flight from the UK.

In 2015/16, Park City merged with Canyons to become the USA’s largest single ski area. It’s easy to reach from the UK, with a new direct flight to Salt Lake City and a 40-minute transfer.

Connected by a high-speed gondola, the ski area spans more than 7,300 acres, with 17 peaks and 14 bowls. The off-piste glade skiing is fantastic and that untracked powder can last well into the afternoon. Snowboarders are also in their element, with superb terrain parks and six natural half-pipes.

The town’s colourful buildings are home to atmospheric bars, restaurants and swanky shops. Non-ski activities include bobsleighing in the Olympic Park and whisky tasting at the world's only ski-in distillery, while January sees the annual Sundance Film Festival.

Park City is also a great base for visiting the Grand Canyon, Las Vegas or other Utah resorts - see our Utah and Las Vegas Ski Safari to find out more.

We have just returned Park City, Utah. Park City, Utah is a fantastic ski resort. The choice available to all levels of skier is terrific. The lift system linking Park City and Canyons is great. The free Park City transit makes skiing in Park City, Canyons and Deer Valley and alternative way to get there, so convenient. The town has a lot to offer and we found everyone very friendly. Main Street is just a pleasure to visit for shops and great food. Add that to great weather and lots of snow - what's not to like!

Huge area of skiing for both piste and off piste lovers the vast majority of which is treelined.

With the direct flight to SLC and a very short drive to the mountains, this must make PC one of the most easiest American ski resorts to travel to from the UK. PC is full of atmosphere with very friendly people. Excellent choice of eateries for all tastes and pockets. Masses of skiing now that PC Mountain & Canyons are combined. Our fifth (?) visit. We will return!
