Steep couloirs, challenging groomers and breath-taking scenery - Jackson Hole is world-famous for good reason.

High in the Teton Mountains, this legendary ski area has scenic slopes and some of North America’s steepest inbound chutes, all well-linked by an impressive modern lift system.

For advanced skiers, the iconic tram whisks you up Rendezvous Mountain, where the challenging terrain includes the famous Corbet's Couloir. For serious powder days, neighbouring Grand Targhee is a must.

More recent developments have opened up the mountain for intermediate skiers and riders, and even beginners and young families' enjoyment of the area has been considered with the addition of a dedicated learning area complete with facilities (Jackson Hole: Now With Added Solitude).

Beneath the slopes is the accommodation hub of Teton Village, which has a few restaurants and bars. For a bit more life, the authentic cowboy town of Jackson is a 20-minute shuttle away. Here, we usually gravitate towards the historic Silver Dollar après bar in The Wort Hotel, or the Cowboy Bar for live bands. You’ll also find day spas to ease those post-Corbet aches, while the nightlife is mostly downtown.

A stunning part of the world, we hugely recommend an excursion to Yellowstone National Park or, even better, our Yellowstone Ski Safari adds wildlife and powder meccas to your Jackson Hole ski holiday.

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.

Jackson Hole resort has a much more laid-back Western vibe compared to other resorts. While they do try to cater for beginner intermediate skiers, to experience the best of the mountain you really need to be a very competent powder skier who tackles black runs at other resorts in the US. Saying that, taking a day-trip to Grand Targhee will allow you to experience easier slopes and an even more laid-back resort. Food and drink in Jackson town is generally more affordable than other resorts. The cowboy bars and line-dancing are a unique experience. However one of the best reasons to ski in Jackson is to take a day trip tour to see Yellowstone in winter. Astonishingly beautiful. Flying into Jackson Hole Airport on a bright sunny day is one of the most spectacular sights to behold. Again the free hotel transfer worked perfectly.

Great steep resort, good lifts which are always being improved. Stayed in Teton Village so all very close to slopes. Good choice of restaurants etc. but all very expensive. Skiing great but getting busier for USA.

The best resort we have ever been to. Challenging skiing due to the immense amount of runs. We shall return!
