Steep couloirs, breath-taking scenery and a Wild West resort - Jackson Hole is one of the world’s best destinations for confident skiers.

High in the Teton Mountains, this experts’ paradise has some of North America’s steepest inbound chutes. A shuttle ride from Jackson town and Teton Village are exciting slopes for intermediates.

An iconic tram whisks you up Rendezvous Mountain, where the aggressive terrain includes the famous Corbet's Couloir. Other areas have mellower runs and, for serious powder days, neighbouring Grand Targhee is a must.

With its wooden shop fronts, Jackson is an authentic Wyoming cowboy town. For après drinks, we usually gravitate towards the historic Wort Hotel, or the Cowboy Bar for live bands. You’ll also find day spas to ease those post-Corbet aches, while the nightlife is mostly downtown.

A stunning part of the world, we hugely recommend an excursion to Yellowstone National Park or, even better, our Yellowstone Ski Safari adds wildlife and powder meccas to your Jackson Hole ski holiday.

Accommodation

Jackson’s unique, characterful properties are surprisingly good value. Best for après and nightlife, couples looking for something special could try one of the boutique hotels in town, while Teton Village is quieter with a good range of ski-in ski-out properties.

An experience, capped off by the accommodation. Slopes were wilder than probably expected for an American resort as few were groomed but this suited our interest. The 'Ski Club of Great Britain' have a guide available. The lady we skied with in Jackson was very good. We joined the club for just £70 or so for the two of us and enjoyed 4 days of guiding with just two others - very worth while to get to the better slopes.

I found all the advice I was given prior to departure was not only first class but very accurate. We stayed in the town of Jackson Hole rather than Teton Village and this was definitely the right decision. Ski hire was very expensive but we had the option to buy rather than rent and this saved approx 100 dollars!!! The 'light' continental breakfast served at Parkway Inn was very substantial. The bus service from very near the hotel to the resort was easy, punctual and inexpensive. Overall we had an extremely good holiday with some challenging skiing, good food and extremely polite, friendly and helpful people wherever we went.
