Skier or snowboarder
Skier! While I've tried snowboarding, skiing will always be my first love.

Ski/boarding history
I've been skiing in the French Alps with my family since I was four, and nothing beats sailing down tree-lined runs with magnificent mountain views in my eyes! Every minute on the slopes is precious, so you'll catch me on the first lift with my ski pass to hand.
Since working at Ski Safari, my eyes have been opened to skiing in Norway and Canada, and now I spend my days off convincing friends and family to follow suit!

Best mountain moment
Without a doubt, the entirety of the Extremely Canadian Steep Ski Clinic in Whistler. This two-day course was thrilling from start to finish, and a particular highlight for me was skiing fresh powder down from Spanky's Ladder in Whistler Blackcomb. I truly felt like I was skiing the best-of-the-best terrain, and it was a really special moment for me - so much so that I did it twice!

Favourite Ski Safari
I was fortunate enough to experience our Whistler Peaks Ski Safari March 2026, and I had a fantastic time! Combining a city add-on to Vancouver with some incredible skiing in Whistler and Sun Peaks truly made this a trip I'll never forget.
It was a trip that just kept on giving! Highlights include cycling through Stanley Park in Vancouver, driving along the stunning Sea-To-Sky Highway, skiing Whistler's Double Black Diamonds, and the super friendly community of Sun Peaks.

Last resort visited
Sun Peaks in March 2026. I'd heard a lot of praise for Sun Peaks from customers and colleagues, and it didn't take long to work out why! Despite being the second largest ski resort in North America, Sun Peaks is peacefully quiet so you can blast down wide, tree-lined groomers and hop onto empty lifts. More than that, the colourful town was so friendly that it really made travelling that extra distance from the UK worth every second.
Plus, I even spotted the aurora borealis on my flight home which was really special! You don't get that flying to France...

Next trip
I haven't got anything in the diary yet, but my favourite thing about skiing in Beito Resort and Geilo in Norway was learning about a culture I'd never experienced before. The food, language, and local customs really made a memorable experience.
With that in mind, I'm dreaming of skiing the famous 'Japow' in Japan next season. I would love to experience either the Traditions or Flavours of Japan Ski Safari to combine world-famous skiing with unforgettable cuisine and cultural sights. I'm getting excited just thinking about it!

Interesting fact
I have lunched on a suspended bench on the side of a cliff overlooking a glacial reservoir on a via ferrata in Switzerland. I was thankful for the rest stop after climbing to dizzying heights, and the view of Lac de Moiry’s turquoise water was a real pinch-me moment!

Top ski trip recommendation
Don’t put your lift pass in the same pocket as your phone or credit card. This sometimes confuses the lift pass machines, and you don’t want to be that person who holds up the queue. Even worse, you might drop and lose your lift pass if you’re regularly taking your phone out for photos on the slopes. That would be a long walk back to the hotel…
My top tip: when shopping for a ski coat, pick one with lots of pockets!
