4* Scandic Voss

The hotel at Voss is great. It's next door to the Gondola that takes you up at the slopes, the sauna is very spacious and with lovely views. The breakfast is fantastic and it has plenty to choose from, only con to that, it's that everyday it's the same variety, so I would recommend trying something new everyday if you are staying for a few days, so that you don't get bored. Also the town is very nice, although things close very early 5/6pm. The beds were the only negative for me, since they are individual beds and the mattresses are quite thin, however, it is the traditional nordic style.

Scandic Voss was perfect. Right next to the train station and the Gondola, and close to the centre of town - which had a variety of restaurants, food outlets and shops. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The highlight of the stay had to be the food in the hotel - the breakfast was simply amazing - the choice was very varied and the standard of the food was incredibly high. The food at dinner was also amazing. For a large hotel it is very efficiently run and the customer service was fantastic, everyone was friendly and helpful. We would highly recommend Scandic Voss and look forward to returning there.

Such a convenient location right by the station and the gondola which made it very easy to get to and from the slopes. Especially with kids having to carry their skis. We had adjoining rooms which was great with the kids. Good size rooms and nice bathrooms. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very good although service in the evenings was rather slow but it was over Christmas so that may have been why.
