The Scandic Voss is a new addition to the town, situated at the foot of the new gondola and platform for the famous Bergen Railway.

Everything you need is within walking distance of the hotel - bars, shopping and restaurants, plus the state-of-the-art Voss Gondol which leaves directly from the hotel, whisking you to the skiing at Mount Hanguren peak in under nine minutes.

Contemporary styling with the use of earth colours and natural wood defines this modern hotel. There's a range of spacious rooms to suit a variety of needs and many feature stunning views of the Vangstunet Lake.

An excellent room with lots of space (we had a family suite for three of us), pleasant service and super easy for the gondola. Only tiny gripe is that the restaurant for breakfast isn't really big enough to accommodate everyone at busy times.

The lakeside rooms from higher floors have a stunning view, as does the sauna. The location, only a minute from the train station and the gondola, could not be more convenient. The hotel itself was busy and buzzing, mainly with families with children, and had a warm friendly vibe. Clean smart hotel right next to everything. Perfect for access to the slopes via the dirt gondola ride (next door). But most importantly… the breakfast. Absolutely superb. Loads of variety and great taste and quality. Set us up nicely for the days skiing.

The Scandic was perfect for what we needed. It is right on the train station platform and right beside the gondola. Only minutes from the town centre. Staff were friendly. Food was good. Rooms were comfortable.

The hotel at Voss is great. It's next door to the Gondola that takes you up at the slopes, the sauna is very spacious and with lovely views. The breakfast is fantastic and it has plenty to choose from, only con to that, it's that everyday it's the same variety, so I would recommend trying something new everyday if you are staying for a few days, so that you don't get bored.
