Steamboat has managed to retain its historic western town atmosphere whilst emerging as a ski resort. There are ski runs to suit all abilities including skiing through the trees in soft powder. For the cautious skier the easier runs are of a decent length enabling plenty of technique practice and fun whilst taking in stunning views. What a great resort! A real community with a fantastic mountain range and brilliant infrastructure. The free daily group skiing with mountain Masters (over 50's) made this holiday a great social event

We had a really good holiday thank you, part due to the incredible weather. Although it was sunny throughout our stay and we had next to no new snow, there was still enough for good skiing. The slopes are great and varied enough for all ski levels. Many and varied eating establishments throughout the resort and town itself. We benefited greatly from the hotel free shuttle service. My family stayed in Steamboat over Christmas, the whole steamboat experience was wonderful. The Steamboat Grand was brilliant, our suite was spacious, clean and had a brilliant view of the slopes, it had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
