Squaw Valley Ski Holidays

Squaw Valley is one of my favourite ski areas in the USA. If you’re looking for sun, snow, varied terrain and higher quality accommodation in Lake Tahoe, Squaw should be your first choice.

Californian powder, quality accommodation and two phenomenal ski areas - Squaw Valley appeals to both extreme skiers and complete beginners.

Host of the 1960 Winter Olympics, Squaw is renowned for its big mountain terrain and heavy snowfalls. Set on Lake Tahoe’s beautiful North Shore, our team never tire of coming here.

Experts love Squaw for the steep chutes, glades and powdery bowls, while beginners can enjoy green runs across the mountain. Your lift pass also covers Alpine Meadows (10 minutes by free shuttle).

Big spring snowfalls make this a great option for Easter skiing. It often dumps overnight and Tahoe receives around 300 days of sunshine a year - waking up to blue skies and deep powder is not uncommon here.

The car-free resort village has a few shops and restaurants but nightlife is low key. As with all Tahoe resorts, San Francisco and Las Vegas make great city add-ons to a Squaw Valley ski holiday, or Mammoth is the best addition for a California Ski Safari.

Every holiday is tailor-made, just for you.

Great skiing in a well organised and efficiently run resort.

11/04/2018 Rick Barnes

Squaw offers good skiing, Alpine is smaller, less commercialised & great for a few days.

18/03/2013 Serena Cowell

A great base to ski the North Tahoe resorts of Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows and Northstar. In the main, the two latter resorts are great for a day for intermediate skiers - the former spend a couple of days there to do all the runs. Alpine needs some investment in the lifts but they got you up

It's Not Quite Spring Yet

2nd March 2018 - Craig Charley

It's been a while since our last snow report, but with the UK looking particularly wintery right now we thought it was about time for an update on conditions in our resorts. The first report is from the seaside here in Hove, where a couple of centimetres of snow wasn't enough to keep us away from...
