Schweitzer's terrain is mostly intermediate to expert and offers 92 named runs serviced by 10 lifts. The resort has an impressive 6000 ft ridge line providing not only spectacular views of the shimmering Lake Pend Oreille, three states, and Canada but also access to some of the best tree and bowl skiing in the country.

Off the mountain, the Schweitzer resort base keeps things simple and compact with two great accommodation options - including hot tubs and a pool - plus a small but good selection of shops, bars and restaurants all within a couple minutes' walk of each other.

Schweitzer appeals to those who love skiing wide-open alpine bowls and perfect tree lines, something the resort is renowned for. In addition, some of the country's best and steepest groomed terrain is also on offer. You can ski a groomed trail right next to an off-piste run - the resort has you covered for deep powder or fast groomer days.

""Schweitzer Mountain Resort is Idaho’s biggest, best and most beautiful resort. I love the world-class tree and alpine skiing and snowboarding. With seemingly endless terrain opportunities, it's a true skier's paradise.""

The resort is purpose built on mountain and very American the terrain is more benign than RED but both front and back bowl are easily accessible and provide numerous chutes and tree runs. Again not a place to on piste cruising this is about off piste and trees. It’s very convenien…

There are a couple of lodges on the slopes. Hotel and condo accommodation just a short walk from the lifts. At the base, there's a pub and pizza place in the day lodge, another pizza place and another pub, but …
