We combined two days on hill here with a main trip to RED I’d recommend if you did the same then you come here first. The resort is purpose built on mountain and very American the terrain is more benign than RED but both front and back bowl are easily accessible and provide numerous chutes and tree runs. Again not a place to on piste cruising this is about off piste and trees. It’s very convenient from Spokane just a couple of hours west from the airport.

Great mountain, with a good variety of ski terrain, from glade skiing to steep groomers, with some double black diamond chutes for brave. Lovely views over lake Pend Oreille on a clear day. There are a couple of lodges on the slopes. Hotel and condo accommodation just a short walk from the lifts. At the base, there's a pub and pizza place in the day lodge, another pizza place and another pub, but the only proper restaurant is in the Selkirk Lodge hotel. The town of Sandpoint is about nine miles away so although there is a shuttle bus from the resort, it's quite a big deal to go into town. Having said that, it's an attractive small town on the lake.ell
