Aspen is lovely town, lots of great places to eat - but it is not cheap - expect to pay $100 minimum for dinner for two including drinks.

Stayed here during the 2013 X Games and was perfect location - free direct bus every 10-15 minutes to/from Buttermilk (approx 25mins), easy access to Aspen for a night, and enough bars/restaurants/entertainment in Snowmass to keep you occupied for most of the week. Prices surprisingly good when compared to some resorts in Europe, especially considering X Games were on. Snow conditions amazing, and…

Snowmass resort is only small but the ski area large with some thing for all abilities but if Snowmass is not enough for you then there are three other ski areas only a short bus ride away (Aspen, Aspen Highlands and Buttermilk. Eating out can be expensive in some places

An excellent resort for intermediate skiers that enjoy groomers and covering a large ski area, lifts very efficient - hardly any queues and even the weekends weren't busy. Sometimes you feel like you are the only person on a run! Accomodation good with excellent access to slopes. Not massive night life but what there is, is good... venga venga is the place to go for apres ski, music and snacks - f…

Snowmass was perfect for me - all big blue groomers, gentle black diamonds, and wonderfully friendly service. My husband wanted a bit more extreme terrain (as per Whistler), but also liked it. No queues at the lifts - at all! Wonderfully quiet. Aspen not as impressive as hyped, but Aspen Highlands was fun to ski. And again, no queues at any lifts. Plus fresh powder four days of 11. Would happily s…

We were very early in the season and knew this was risky. Even with poor snowfalls (affected many Utah and Colorado resorts) they did their best to provide good quality skiing.

Loved Snowmass, fantastic resort - empty slopes even over Christmas, great choice of runs and fantastic tuition. Not keen on the Stonebridge Inn - rooms were clean but dated and service very hit and miss. Good location for the slopes, though

As devotees of the Alps, we have spend some years wondering why anyone bothers with a ski trip to the Rockies. Having now spent ten days in Aspen we realise how wrong we were. It was well worth the trip- fantastic terrain for advanced skiers, empty slopes, trees everywhere and great service.

Viceroy Hotel, Snowmass, excellent hotel, staff were amazing, ski shop on the third floor, free shuttle around the resort. Fantastic 2 bed suites with washing machine, dryer and kitchen. Amazing swimming pool and food reasonably priced in the restaurant. Will definately go back, overall excellent value.

Resort was big enough for a week although snow wasn't great towards the end of the week, with good conditions it would be incredible. Only downside would be getting to the other 3 mountains in the area as takes a good 20 - 30 mins on the bus.
