We had variable snow & weather (temperatures from +7 to -14 and snow conditions from icy to spring snow). The town is nice and linking across ski areas is easy. A good range of ski runs, from the top to gentle tree runs. A great resort for families due to the variation. Prices were cheaper than France in most instances!

Good restaurants in Are By, Bjornen is quiet. Not the toughest skiing other than when icy, but civilised and skiing at tree level rather than above is enjoyable.

The resort was brilliant for us, we stayed at Are Bjornen and there were lots of runs that suited us. The bus transport into Are was reliable and always on time. Everyone was really friendly and the area was pristinely clean.

Åre is a great challenging intermediate result where you are made welcome everywhere you go. However things to do on bad weather days like bowling, movies are sadly lacking.

Unfortunately we didn’t have particularly good weather with high winds shutting some of the lifts and a couple of days of rain, but other than that it was a really enjoyable holiday. Are is a lovely place, the slopes are varied and good to ski, the people very friendly and the organisation of Ski Safari nearly flawless. Are is a small town as well as a ski resort so there is a good mixture of shop…

Easy to get around safe resort,friendly easy going resort with something for all abilities. Empty pistes and not busy. Fab.

Excellent. Our accommodation was close to the ski lifts. Lots of fresh snow, great conditions, lots of choice in the evenings to do- great atmosphere.

For our group Are in Sweden was a brilliant place to sky - something for the non-skiers, excellent for the complete beginners and enough to keep the experts busy for a week. Are Bjornen is a satellite village in Are which is an excellent place to get started with your skiing.
