The Copperhill Hotel was a fantastic place to stay - classic Scandi design, helpful friendly staff and superb food (including really well thought through, tasty vegetarian food). The spa was really nice, overlooking the slopes, and never got too busy. Accessing the slopes was a bit tricky - along a narrow icy run that would be challenging for beginners - but the return to the hotel was great, straight off the piste and into a spacious locker area. The ski hire shop in the basement worked really well, and when we needed to swap boots we could do that at one of the other SkiStar shops for convenience (and a slightly wider range of options). Thoroughly recommended.

I expected a mountain ski lodge but found Copperhill too large and impersonal. There were very few skiers in the hotel. Most of the guests for the whole week were from a Norwegian business convention. As a result they dominated the lobby bar and restaurant (only one of which was open) and created a very noisy and disturbing atmosphere. Impossible to have a conversation over dinner. Also no room information in the hotel with regard to use of TV, heated towel rail and heated floor in bathroom, no convenient plug for kettle which had to be placed on floor, no porterage service etc. Spa was good although the hours when children could use it were not enforced. Staff were friendly and helpful but from the level of services and facilities I could not rate it higher than two stars.

Amazing hotel, great delicious food, and good spa facilities. Only downside was difficult green/blue to navigate to ski school in the morning - with young children/boarders as lots of flat elements. Once back at hotel you can't really go out unless you have a car or get a taxi, however the hotel was amazing so didn't need to leave! Did we mention the food?? Be prepared for ££££ wine min. cost £50 a bottle.

5 star accommodation, service, food and overall experience. We stayed in a Bronze Deluxe corner room and the views from the balcony were breathtaking. The spa was a great way to relax after a day on the slopes. Having the ski shop on site was a big bonus, and the ski staff were super helpful. The ski lockers were roomy enough for skis and boots. Loved the rotating menus in the evening, and the food was incredible. My only niggle was the ski out run, icy and narrow, very challenging even for intermediate skiers.

Still a fantastic family friendly hotel ski in / out hotel. Although the hotel is very chic and beautifully decorated, there is no hint of stuffiness. The food was great (younger kids have a buffet every night if the menu is too fancy), while the other facilities (spa, lockers, ski room, ski shop / hire shop and bar) and all excellent. Very little to find fault except that the 'run' out from the hotel is really a cat/service track and not suitable for beginner snowboarders so a cab (or borrow a car from the hotel) down the 2km to the ski school / lift area is needed.
