The thing that made our holiday so special here was the excellence of the teaching. I did a beginners class and the instructors were amazing and my children loved their teachers so much they cried on the last day. The instructors were professional, patient and entertaining and made us all achieve our goals (getting down the mountain in once piece). Their English was excellent and the whole teaching experience was relaxed. Anyone who is scared if skiing should come here for a week! And fun.

Just to say thanks for your advice and organisation. Everything worked fine, flights were all punctual and we were given a Nissan X-trail hire car which was good as it gave us lots of space and was useful for a snowy drive back to the airport. The hotel was slightly disorganised when we got there, but we got a room OK although initially it was only made up for 3 but they sorted that within an hour. We arrived about 19:00 on Sunday which gave us time to get the skis etc. as the slopes were open until 20:00.

The skiing was excellent and the boys had a great time, they preferred it to Saas Fee due to the number and variety of the slopes. Despite being peak season (the hotel was full) there was relatively little queuing, mostly confined to the main chairlift from the ski school area. Being able to ski in and out of the hotel meant the boys got a lot of skiing in each day, including the evening skiing on the Tuesday, on the last day James skied from his lesson at 09:00 until the last lift at 16:30 – with a break for lunch of course. The ski school were very good and very helpful - we changed James' lesson to a different adult group with their assistance. So Trysil was a great success as far as we were concerned – just have to hope that it doesn't get too popular! It was noticeable that there were quite a few British families there, although most people seemed to be from Norway, Sweden or Denmark.

Just returned from our stay at the Radisson Blu in Trysil. Just want to say a big thank you it was perfect. It was like a little Breckenridge in Europe. Although it was half term the runs were wide and not crowded, our boys loved the jump parks and ski cross course and the lift queues were fine, about 10 mins at worst(also the queuing was orderly and polite). The Norwegians were lovely and friendly.

Thanks for organising everything so well. We loved the slopes – just right for family skiing – I think busier than usual because of a Swedish resort being closed...but quite bearable. Early in the week it was hard to get to the other ski areas but by the end of the week this was possible – but by then our son had broken his collar bone and so we stayed closer to home. Loved all the Norwegians (and Swedes) we met – all delightful and so friendly and the ski tuition was brill (we swapped group lessons in the end for a single private lesson). And the heath service was efficient and impressive. So all in all a great break.
