The largest ski resort in Norway, it is easy to understand why the Norwegians turn up in droves at the weekend. The resort is very family friendly with great facilities both on the snow and in the hotel (Radisson). The small number of chair lifts are heavily used but the alternative button and T-bar tows are quiet and easy to use and have the added advantage of keeping your legs warm. Loads of sno…

Stayed at the Park Inn - amazing room with views over mountains. Ski in & out which was brilliant, slopes perfect for families, no queues at lifts, ski lessons and hire equipment excellent standard and helpful. Staff at hotel all friendly. Not much apres ski which suited us perfectly!

An excellent resort for families like us. Husband and I had skied before, our girls hadn't. Some more challenging slopes for the better skiers but also great areas for kids. We liked the fact there was a ski bus around to the other side of the mountain for a change of scenery, we took the girls night skiing there as it was mainly green runs. The ski school instructors were great.

Trysil great for novice skiers, good range of blue and green runs that are easy to access. Village small, but plenty going on in our hotel so not really needed. Suspect the nightlife very quiet but ideal for families.

Fantastic little resort for intermediate skiers and families. A little lacking for advanced skiers whilst we were there (20th Dec) due to certain runs not being open yet.
