We have used Ski Safari before to go to Whistler. On the basis of their efficiency and advice and competitive pricing we chose to use them again. I have never considered Norway before but the web-site really attracted me to Trysil, Norway based on the hotel really. It was a much smaller resort than we are used to but the runs were fabulous and wide with very kind black runs (except the 45 degree number 75 which looked deadly and we avoided at all costs!). All the kids thought the runs were great and we covered most of them in the 6 days we were there. Ski hire was ridiculously cheap. The ski instructors were just lovely and all spoke excellent English. We had everything from daily ski lessons, snow boarding lessons, private guided half day and a 2 hour lesson across the group and everybody was so pleased with the quality of the instructors. The food and drink on the slopes can be expensive when drinking beer and wine but the hot chocolates and soft drinks were no more expensive than any other ski resort. The quality of the food in the Radisson Blu was excellent. The pizzas and buffet breakfast were excellent and so much choice. We really can not find fault with anything. The only thing that we did not get and were supposed to was a locker in the boot room for skis and boots but they were more trouble than they were worth and everything was safe outside the locker as the boot room was so big. All in all a great resort to have your first ski holiday to the more experienced and I felt a great resort for a girls week-end as it was kind and felt very comfortable.

A fantastic resort for a first ski holiday as a family of two experienced skiers and the first time on the slopes for a 5 and 7-year old. Even during half-term the resort was not overcrowded and lift queues were short in comparison to the Alps. The ski school was excellent with the kids loving their lessons and a few confidence building private lessons for the adults. There is plenty enough skiing to keep experienced skiers amused on perfectly groomed slopes. The beginners areas are fantastic and the lift staff extremely helpful. Overall it feels far more North American than European.

Superb resort , accommodation , ski school, everything really. First time skiing for my son and wife who enjoyed it immensely. I hadn't skied for 15 years and this was the best place I have ever been. Very friendly locals, helpful lift operators. Much better than my experiences in Austria. Radisson Blu is an amazing hotel with excellent food, service and facilities. We had a lovely spacious room. Superb all round!

Trysil is a great resort. It has long runs, but not too challenging so everyone can enjoy the feeling of exploring. It has its share of more challenging runs too.. We skied as a family so it was important for us to be able to have variety in the slopes. We also didn't 'outgrow' the mountain in one trip. We only visited 2 out of the 4 base stations there. The resort is run by skistar, and they add nice bits for the children... like the skiing snowman Valle!
