We loved Trysil. It's a really well laid out resort for intermediate skiers with every run accessed from the top of the T1 or T2 chairlifts being an option for the journey back down and meaning you really can leave 'home' without a piste map and choose whatever route you fancy when you get to the top. That said, the only negatives were that the runs aren't particularly well marked and the bottom…

Good ski-in ski-out resort for families. Quiet well groomed slopes. We visited at peak time during the local school holidays and experienced long lift lines in the morning for the main lifts. Lots of wide blue slopes for beginners to progress to.

Excellent range of skiing to satisfy all levels of skier. Compact and well designed resort. All staff speak English and are welcoming and accommodating.

Lovely people, good choice of slopes and enjoyed the night skiing under flood lights. Fantastic ski school. Slight drawback on occasion with big queues for the lifts, but then is was half term for the whole of Europe!

The resort itself was great for the week, all lifts and runs open, busier than previous trip so queues for some lifts a little slow. All pistes in very good condition.

Trysil is a great resort for skiing at most levels - experts may find it slightly limited, but for the rest (most) it's ideal.

The resort was more attractive than we had imagined, mainly due to the fact a lot of the skiing is with the tree line and the area is dotted with traditional wooden chalets. The skiing is extensive enough for a week to suit most people and the queuing at lifts was well managed. All the people related to ski school, lift attendants, ski hire shop etc were very helpful and friendly.

Trysil is ideal for novice skiers, and also we found good red and black runs for those more experienced. Weather wasn't too cold for kids. Access was excellent, transfer easy. Ideally bit more snow but was fine. Lots of good green and blue runs. Ski hire shop serviced us very well. Access to slopes so easy, and lifts weren' t too busy for half term week.
