Overall facilities really good both on the mountain and in resort, very well organised. Excellent lift system, no queues even when the locals arrive at the weekend due to the 6 man high speed lifts in all the key places.

We loved Trysil. It's a really well laid out resort for intermediate skiers with every run accessed from the top of the T1 or T2 chairlifts being an option for the journey back down and meaning you really can leave 'home' without a piste map and choose whatever route you fancy when you get to the top. That said, the only negatives were that the runs aren't particularly well marked and the bottom lifts don't start early enough to use them to get to ski school (which seems a little mad) and made for a bit of an uphill slog during Monday to Friday of our trip. Ski school was really good. At first we thought the 9am to 10:30 time a little odd but as we were in the same group it actually worked well and allowed us to ski together through the lunch period on near-deserted pistes. We received excellent, no nonsense tuition from Trond, our instructor, and even though we were in a group of ten, it was a lovely bunch of people and was fun and constructive every day and both Chris and i felt we improved a lot over the course of the week. Apres in Trysil is relaxed and quiet. Most places are family oriented although Laaven at the bottom of Red 15 Piste has live music with singing and dancing in your ski boots if that's what you fancy. We found everything really well suited to our needs and enjoyed every moment.

Lovely people, good choice of slopes and enjoyed the night skiing under flood lights. Fantastic ski school. Slight drawback on occasion with big queues for the lifts, but then is was half term for the whole of Europe!
