Just returned from Trysil where we had an excellent time, great resort for kids and adults alike, we were a bit worried about it being late in the season but the conditions, especailly at the end of the week, were excellent. The ski school team was fantastic and the kids (7, 5 and 4) had a great time with their instructors. Lots of good skiing/snowboarding for all levels and a good atmosphere in resort for families. We were in the Solbjørnlia apartments, which was actually more like a semi-detatched cabin than an apartment. Cosy accommodation easily big enough for our party (5 bedrooms to sleep 5 adults, 4 children and an infant). The accommodation was basic but clean and with good facilities, centrally located with just a short walk to the slopes.

Good advice on resorts for our group of mixed ages and ability. All very smooth and seamless. Would highly recommend Ski Safari. We opted for private lessons over 3 days as it suited our group better than group lessons for 5 days. Instructors were great and we all made a lot of progress. Collecting equipment was quick and easy. We went at Easter so we really enjoyed the quiet and wide slopes. Enough variety of pistes for the varying different levels of ability in our group.

Trysil was FAB FAB FAB! Amazing snowfall. Not sure if we were lucky for April? Hardly any queues. Easter weekend very busy yet longest question 10 mins. Short trudge uphill to magic carpet every morning burnt many calories! Allowed for an extra cinnamon bun so probably a 'plus' if your kids can carry their own skis!

Worked really well for a family ski holiday, enough to stretch the more experienced skiers and great for the beginners. For the end of the season the conditions were very reasonable. Our grandchildren made superb progress in ski school. Both were 1st time skiers at nearly 8 and nearly 6 years old. The English was excellent and the numbers (6) in their groups were perfect. They were enjoying skiing down red and blue runs by the end of day 3!
