Judith Denby - Trysil - 27 Dec 2017
Superb skiing, efficient and plentiful lifts, very high-quality instructors who really wanted to create the best experience for us. Trysil had a lovely selection of places to stop and warm up with a hot drink and yummy cake. Perfect for varied abilities of skier and really outstanding for children.

As a resort for families and those wanting a wide range of skiing in a compact area, Trysil is perfect.

Having been to Norway previously we went with your suggestion for this resort as a new place to try and loved it, thank you. Excellent ski in, ski out location. Good selection of posted nearby and well located for supplies.

Everything just seemed to work seamlessly from the moment you arrived. Collecting ski equipment and lift tickets couldn't have been easier. Great slopes particularly for beginners but there was enough off piste skiing to satisfy all levels. Not the most beautiful resort, but everything we needed was there. Great skiing for us as a family, as there were plenty of intermediate runs and a couple of easier black runs too, so we never felt bored.

We stayed at Raddison Mountain Resort at Easter (last year at Raddison Tourist Centre). Snow was excellent. Slopes etc quiet so no queues for anything. Staff at all facilities always helpful (and all speak English!). Ideal for families and less experienced. Arguably Hoyfjelssentre has more green & blue runs & ski facilities for children. Resort is purpose built for winter and summer activity holid…

A beautiful place... reminded me of the Scottish highlands.

Lots of green and blue runs here, excellent for building confidence. Lots of different terrain from big wide gentle runs to off piste and terrain park. Very quiet resort, lots of fun for younger skiers with Valle the Snowman. Not a lot else in resort for non skiers, apres ski fairly non existent.

Overall expensive and a shortage of alcohol due to restrictive sales times in Norway. Even self catering food expensive compared to U.K.
