Not the most beautiful resort, but everything we needed was there. Great skiing for us as a family, as there were plenty of intermediate runs and a couple of easier black runs too, so we never felt bored.

We stayed at Raddison Mountain Resort at Easter (last year at Raddison Tourist Centre). Snow was excellent. Slopes etc quiet so no queues for anything. Staff at all facilities always helpful (and all speak English!). Ideal for families and less experienced. Arguably Hoyfjelssentre has more green & blue runs & ski facilities for children. Lots of green and blue runs here, excellent for building confidence. Lots of different terrain from big wide gentle runs to off piste and terrain park. Very quiet resort, lots of fun for younger skiers with Valle the Snowman.
Not a lot else in resort for non skiers, apres ski fairly non existent.

Overall expensive and a shortage of alcohol due to restrictive sales times in Norway. Even self catering food expensive compared to U.K.

Just returned from Trysil where we had an excellent time, great resort for kids and adults alike, we were a bit worried about it being late in the season but the conditions, especailly at the end of the week, were excellent. Good advice on resorts for our group of mixed ages and ability. All very smooth and seamless. Would highly recommend Ski Safari. We opted for private lessons over 3 days as it suited our group better than group lessons for 5 days. Instructors were great and we all made a lot of progress. Trysil was FAB FAB FAB! Amazing snowfall. Not sure if we were lucky for April? Hardly any queues. Easter weekend very busy yet longest question 10 mins. Short trudge uphill to magic carpet every morning burnt many calories! Allowed for an extra cinnamon bun so probably a 'plus' if your kids can carry their own skis!
