We had a lovely time with our three children aged 5, 7 and 10. The skiing was very child friendly - our children loved skiing through the trees. Fantastic snow conditions. The ski hire shop was very busy on our first day with queues (out of the door!) all morning, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. The ski lessons started at 09:00 which was when the lifts also started - this does provide an opportunity to warm up walking up the slope to the start of the lessons however. The ski school instructors all spoke perfect English and were very friendly. The ski lesson numbers were quite variable (3-10). The lessons last 3 hours for those over 7, but only 90 minutes for those younger - clearly this is due to the local temperature conditions and so limits the amount of "adult only" skiing that can be achieved. Nonetheless, the nearby Black runs were suitably challenging and the lack of excessive queues meant these could be attacked several times before returning to the Tourist Centre to collect our youngest and enjoy a well earned hot chocolate.

Excellent resort, good mix of levels, friendly ski school, perfect snow. Trysil is wonderful. It’s big enough with enough variety to keep the kids and the adults happy and yet it doesn’t ever lose its friendly character. Beautiful skiing on tree-lined runs with perfect powder snow.

The Radisson Blu in Trysil was excellent. The staff, the room, the buffet, the pizza restaurant and the superb T restaurant. The ski in and out made a huge difference. Viktoria our ski instructor made the holiday. We changed from group to individual lessons she was so good. I was terrified after a shocking experience with Tignes, and Viktoria's instruction made the complete difference to all of us.

Superb skiing, efficient and plentiful lifts, very high-quality instructors who really wanted to create the best experience for us. Trysil had a lovely selection of places to stop and warm up with a hot drink and yummy cake. Perfect for varied abilities of skier and really outstanding for children.

Having been to Norway previously we went with your suggestion for this resort as a new place to try and loved it, thank you. Excellent ski in, ski out location. Good selection of posted nearby and well located for supplies.

Everything just seemed to work seamlessly from the moment you arrived. Collecting ski equipment and lift tickets couldn't have been easier. Great slopes particularly for beginners but there was enough off piste skiing to satisfy all levels. Definitely not the alpine ski experience (i.e. France/Austria/America) but reminded me of skiing in Australia and such a good confidence builder for my son. Loved the snow parks with all the bumps & jumps. Maybe it was the time of year but no crowds on the slopes or at the cafes on the slopes (which were at times eyewateringly expensive but that goes with the territory). Looking forward to our next visit.
