Trysil was a fabulous resort with a multitude of different levels of runs to choose from, plenty of fresh snow and a great ski school.

We had another fantastic week in Trysil. Snow conditions were excellent, champagne snow almost daily and no ice. Temperatures not too low and we were able to ski every day, although we did experience slightly hairy white outs on a couple of mornings at the top. Night skiing one evening a little lumpy but fun! Two blue-sky days at the end of the week made for super "warm" days on the top of the hil…

I enjoyed the skiing at Trysil, which had lots of wide and fairly quiet tree-lined runs. The snow conditions were excellent. Although the queues for the lifts could be quite lengthy, the slopes were generally fairly quiet, especially those towards Hoggega and Trysil Høyfellsenter. It was a good place for children to learn to ski; the group sizes were a bit larger than I would have liked, but my so…

The mountain was excellent well laid out pistes well sign posted and easy to learn your way around, a bit restricted if there is thick cloud above the tree line. Very family friendly but some of the longer T bars could do with replacing with chairs. The main downside was lack of evening entertainment/ choice of restaurant unless you like pizzas and burgers. Even the main town (centrum) has very li…

I have skied for thirty years, however I am not the most confident and for my family and I it was perfect. Trysil was a wonderful resort, easy to navigate, quiet slopes (despite it being half term in UK and Norway), short lift queues, helpful staff and lots of fresh snow each day. Whilst food and drink is expensive (it is Norway after all) the lift passes were much cheaper than other resorts I h…

The resort centre was a good size, with sufficient variety of places to eat out and also a small supermarket which was useful as we were self catering.

Trysil is a great resort but we probably need a larger one, as we'd skied the entire resort by day 4! It was very busy the week of Feb half-term, as the Danes were also on holiday and Trysil is one of their nearest big resorts. I would say that the resort is good for beginners and those moving on to the intermediate stage but was less good for those at the more advanced end of the spectrum. The …

A fantastic resort all round for travelling with a family / skiers of varying ability. Lovely wide open pistes, some nice long runs, good (and relatively quiet) lift system, great teachers at the ski school who are all so engaging with their groups (especially children) - top marks all round.
