We thought the resort was excellent. Plenty of varied skiing for the whole family - the children all skied black runs which they were very proud of, and all near enough that we could ski happily while the children had lessons. All staff very friendly and kind. Plenty of lifts and very few queues. The only criticism would be that food in the various restaurants was all a bit the same - lots of burgers, but then that kept the kids happy.

We had another fantastic week in Trysil. Snow conditions were excellent, champagne snow almost daily and no ice. Temperatures not too low and we were able to ski every day, although we did experience slightly hairy white outs on a couple of mornings at the top. Night skiing one evening a little lumpy but fun! Two blue-sky days at the end of the week made for super "warm" days on the top of the hill. All our party are intermediate skiers and there is plenty here to keep us all amused. Last year we were able to visit Trysil in the school term and reported how quiet the slopes were; we noticed (and expected) quite a difference this time in half-term holidays; lifts (particularly the chairs) were very much busier but with the pass system, lines moved quite quickly and so this didn't affect our enjoyment. The ski hire shop was busy but as they are so efficient and quick here, once again we had excellent service and staff responded very positively to our individual requests. The grooming everyday was as impressive as ever.

I enjoyed the skiing at Trysil, which had lots of wide and fairly quiet tree-lined runs. The snow conditions were excellent. Although the queues for the lifts could be quite lengthy, the slopes were generally fairly quiet, especially those towards Hoggega and Trysil Høyfellsenter. It was a good place for children to learn to ski; the group sizes were a bit larger than I would have liked, but my son really got the hang of it by the end of the week and we were able to ski some of the blue runs together. The adult lessons that I did were excellent. We also went on a husky sledding trip and horse-sledging trip nearby, which were great fun.
