Not a huge resort compared to typical French resorts, and not a huge amount of challenging skiing, but there was enough to keep us amused for a week. The slopes were generally extremely quiet, there was plenty of snow (we travelled in April) and the views were stunning. Everything worked very efficiently, including the transfers from Oslo airport.

A fab resort for all our needs especially the ski schools for our 6 year old who had lessons for the first time in Sweden last year and came on in leaps and bounds and the only just 3 year old who loved it, had lessons for the first time and also made huge progress. The Skistar schools in Scandinavia with Valle as the main attraction are just fantastic.

Skiing was great for families. Plenty of long green, blue and red runs and several black ones for the more experienced. None or very little queuing for lifts. Supermarket close by but all food needs were in the hotel. Places to eat on the slopes. Ski school was ok but beginners classes were too basic for the children and they didn't progress much doing only one slope per 1.5 hour lesson. My kids l…

We loved the resort! Everything was easy to access from the hotel and very clean and well maintained. Very impressed with the quality of food in the restaurants too. The ski instructors were excellent and there wasn’t too much queueing at the lifts compared to French resorts that we have been to in the past. We were lucky with blue skies every day and some fresh snow.
