Great hotel to stay at with a family. Rooms (family deluxe) are a good size (for 4 or 5) and set out so that you can spend time in them. Ski lockers and ski in / ski out makes it great for hitting the slopes in the morning. Lots of non-ski activities to keep everyone entertained after skiing - swimming pool is great (though got quite busy in the afternoons), as is the bowling alley and games room - and there was the addition of a bouncy castle this year! Several good restaurants in the hotel including the bistro (worth the supplement), pizza and diner. All in all a great hotel to stay at.

Radisson Blu was a great hotel, very welcoming with friendly staff and great facilities. Our room was a family deluxe which was huge compared to other hotels. It included a double sofa bed and a single pull down bed with a separate room within the suite with a double. It was clean, comfy (needed extra pillows) and had a good hot shower. Would have been nice to have a bath to soak our muscles but not essential. The dining options were good too. The buffet restaurant provided a superb range of breakfast options including gluten and dairy free, hot and cold. The crepes and Nutella were consumed every day by our youngest son washed down with orange juice and water melon. You could be as healthy or naughty as you like. Dinner in the buffet was also excellent with a small kids buffet choice, massive salad bar and three choices of main course. We thought the quality was generally pretty good for buffet style. Wished they had portioned up the desserts to prevent them getting annihilated by people trying to serve themselves. Chill Dine and Bowl did a good burger (bowling was great too) and the pizzeria was great at both dinner and lunchtime. The pool was a bit on the chilli side (still at 29c) and we were never able to get in the jacuzzi as it was always full but in fairness, we didn't have much time for the pool as the skiing was so fantastic.

The room itself was very good - enough space for 2 adults & 3 kids although we had to be pretty tidy. We had a balcony but our room was at lower ground level so our 'balcony' was sunken with a view of the hotel service loading bay - worth requesting a higher room with a decent view! Drying cupboard very useful but the room was a bit lacking in storage overall for ski clothes - we kept our luggage bags under beds with ski gear in. Nice to have a fridge & kettle. Use of the ski lockers downstairs really helpful and the kids enjoyed the swimming pool & climbing wall. Our only concern was we found the food a bit hit or miss - the buffet restaurant for breakfast was fine but was very poor for dinner. We paid a supplement for the Christmas Eve meal in there and we really did not enjoy it at all. The bowl had nice burgers and the kids enjoyed it - but you can't have burgers every night! The Italian restaurant was the best by far but you can't book ahead so had to get there early to avoid having a long wait for a table. We didn't try the brasserie as we were with kids. Generally we felt the restaurants were struggling to cope with a full hotel of guests and service was very patchy which was a shame.
