With a high proportion of confidence-boosting greens and blues, Trysil (pronounced tree-sill) is widely regarded as Norway’s best family resort. Children under seven ski for free and the kids’ ski areas feature magic carpets, forest trails and a talking tree. In several sections, different graded pistes run almost in parallel, so all levels can start and finish together.
Steeped in heritage, Trysil ski resort hosted some of the very first downhill ski racing in 1862. It's also very scenic, with tree-lined lower slopes and panoramic peak views of elk-filled forests.
From restaurants and shops to ski school and rentals, you'll find everything you need in the main hubs of Turistsenter and Høyfjellsenter (also known as Fageråsen). The après-ski bars are fairly laid back, and the water park at Turistsenter’s Radisson Blu has an indoor surf wave.

Trysil is a well laid out resort with most accommodation having easy access to restaurants, a supermarket, coffee shops and the Raddison Blue hotel facilities which everyone can use. We stayed in the Midgard apartments which are brand new builds, very comfortable, warm and have all the facilities you would need for self catering.
