With a high proportion of confidence-boosting greens and blues, Trysil (pronounced tree-sill) is widely regarded as Norway’s best family resort. Children under seven ski for free and the kids’ ski areas feature magic carpets, forest trails and a talking tree. In several sections, different graded pistes run almost in parallel, so all levels can start and finish together.
Steeped in heritage, Trysil ski resort hosted some of the very first downhill ski racing in 1862. It's also very scenic, with tree-lined lower slopes and panoramic peak views of elk-filled forests.
From restaurants and shops to ski school and rentals, you'll find everything you need in the main hubs of Turistsenter and Høyfjellsenter (also known as Fageråsen). The après-ski bars are fairly laid back, and the water park at Turistsenter’s Radisson Blu has an indoor surf wave.

Lots of varied skiing- great for a whole family trip when the kids are now getting good. Very easy ski from door. Lovely and quiet(we went out of Norway school hols). Ski school was really good with lovely instructor and the 3 hour lesson gave the adults chance to really enjoy some skiiing away from the children as well,
