Compact resort. Good for mixed ability family skiing.

Myrkdalen is a good resort for intermediate to beginner level skiers, very compact and easy to navigate around, with a selection of blue and red runs (also 3 black runs which are more like reds) off piste and a few ski parks. It is all very well maintained, There is one mountain restaurant with lots of tables outside and a couple in the resort.

Great resort for beginners and intermediates for a short 5 nts or longer break 7nts as mainly blues and reds. Ski in ski out a great bonus. The biggest queue about 5 mins and only a busy day at the bottom chairlift. Slopes quiet to medium if you hit a Norwegian holiday and then it only gets a little busier from lunchtime and mornings were always very quiet. The ski school for both skiing and snowb…

Lovely hotel and resort, maybe not quite challenging enough for advanced skiers. Very little to do there if the weather is bad.

Mrykdalen is a great ski-in ski-out resort, a truly relaxing ski holiday, no queuing at the lifts, and are able to enjoy the wide open slopes, almost to yourself!! Perfect if you don't want huge challenging skiing that some resorts offer. There are lots of lovely groomed areas for walking too.

Our second visit to Myrkdalen and another great week. Everyone was super friendly and the family all had a great time. Instructors were excellent (thanks Kim) and everyone had a great time on and off the slopes. Food in the hotel or the mountain was also a really high standard.

Great resort for families or mixed ability groups. Good nursery slopes which did night skiing which the kids loved. As it was ski in ski out it was really easy to get on the slopes each morning and get the kids to ski school.

The resort was very good. It snowed every night we were there. The slopes were all well groomed. We didn’t queue for the lifts/chairs/pomas
The slopes were all great. The black runs were tame for blacks. Reds and blues were our favourites as they offered more variety.
This resort I feel was more suited to pow hunters. There was fields and fields of off piste pow to explore. Sadly due to our skis…

Myrkdalen is a perfect family resort for beginners and more experienced skiers and snowboarders. The hotel was fantastic, and Ski Safari organised everything so well for us.
