The resort opened relatively recently, so all of the facilities are of a very high quality. The red and blue slopes are ideal for intermediate skiers. Although we were there in February half-term, it was not as busy as other resorts would be - it is something of a hidden gem. There were times when we had the slopes virtually to ourselves.

Small skiing resort. Fantastic for first time skiers or if you haven't skied for a while like us. If you are regular skiers you might skiing itself a bit limiting.

Our holiday in Myrkdalen was fantastic! Amazing snow, sunshine, empty slopes, fantastic hotel and food and fantastic ski school. We all had a great holiday! Having skied a lot before I was quite unsure about the size of the resort and number of runs, but it was a completely different holiday as we were able to ski together as a family and it was always one run back in perfect snow to the hotel if …

We had a lovely first family ski holiday with ski safari. The resort was quiet, but perfect for us. Literally ski in/ski out, perfect location, perfect for beginners, very picturesque runs and the night skiing was a bonus. Myrkdalen is small but has everything you want for a skiing holiday. Not a lot of nightlife but that did not worry us. Staff were very polite and helpful. As we hired a car we could explore the area as well.

Myrkdalen is a good resort for beginners - maybe for more accomplished skiers I would choose to go for a long weekend rather than the better part of a week. Lovely place to ski though with wonderful views, particularly the runs down Finnbunuten and Storhaugen. We were fortunate to be blessed with glorious sunshine each day.

Small and compact, but has everything for a great family holiday. Don't expect wall to wall sunshine, but there is loads of snow and plenty of off piste options in relatively safe environment. Great for kids.
