A beautiful area with much better intermediate skiing than expected. No queues, friendly people and brilliant powder.

Geilo was a great resort, very beginner friendly, helpful staff. A couple of times we made it to the top and the green slopes were closed (without any notice at the bottom), which meant I had to go down a harder slope which i wouldn't have done had i known. Other than that great!

The town has everything you'd need for a great family holiday. Shops are all within walking distance and there are some good restaurants and activities like ten-pin bowling at the hotels.

Perfect family resort for skiers of all abilities.

Great ski in ski out resort with super accommodation and food, just that the slopes were a little short in places for good intermediate / advanced skiers.

The snow and skiing was very good, and the mountains were generally very quiet, making it perfect for a family holiday with very young children.

Geilo is a wonderful resort for a family holiday with an excellent range of slopes and a good lift and bus network to access skiing throughout the resort.
