Geilo was a fantastic family friendly holiday resort the Vestlia resort hotel was right by the piste, ski school was very well organised and the free ski shuttle buses were excellent to get you into town and two other slopes around the valley.

Fabulous location for first ski trip with family, small resort but everything you'd need and lovely quiet ski runs! Scenery on the trip there was absolutely stunning.

Fantastic family friendly resort for relaxed skiing. Long green and blue runs. No queuing. Hotel Vestlia was just metres from the lifts. Great food and ski instruction.

A great family-friendly resort with super ski school and ski hire provision. Slopes are wide and are never busy.

Fantastic, snow sure family resort.

Compact and very family friendly, beautifully groomed slopes, very quiet in the town and on the slopes compared to French resorts at Easter, we didn't queue for a single lift. The train journey from Bergen was a highlight of the holiday.

Brilliant, friendly and perfect for families!

Very easy resort- lovely quiet slopes, hardly any queue for lifts the week we went and very easily accessible from the hotel. The option to go to the slopes on the other side of the valley was also great with an easy and regular ski bus - gives you a much wider range of slopes.

An excellent resort for a first family ski trip - well maintained lifts and runs, excellent childcare, good food options, no queues for lifts. Ski bus good for getting across the valley. Snow was excellent in late March. Not many steep runs for very experienced skiers but plenty of fun and good parks. Good choice of supermarkets in the town with reasonable prices.
