This ski resort is a fantastic destination for new skiers and families. The slopes are meticulously maintained, and the entire setup caters perfectly to family needs. Family friendly resort with plenty of green / blue runs for a short stay. Quiet slopes and everything you need is available in the town. The train journey to and from Bergen is a great highlight of the trip too.

Really easy to get around. The 2 main ski areas had cafes which was great, plus a cafe, pizza and kebab shop open in the centre. We were glad we were half board so ate in the evening at the hotel as the food options were limited at the resort plus very expensive too.

Fantastic resort, not too busy, good for our skiing levels. The train between Bergen and Geilo was a highlight and very easy

Perfect resort for family of new skiers.
Lovely wide runs with easy access to the hotel amenities. We were nt staying but able to pay to use the soft play and pool. Good standard of food in the local restaurants. Friendly instructors and great childcare. Perfect.

A great resort for a first time family ski holiday. Lots of gentle green and blue runs and plenty of snow. We went in Feb half term and the slopes weren't too busy, with no big queues for lifts. We used the ski school which I'm really glad we booked. The instructors were very friendly and encouraging. There were also lots of non skiing activities available e.g snow shoeing, dog Sledging, toboggan…

We loved Geilo. Such a peaceful, small town in beautiful surroundings. Good ski runs for families. Excellent shuttle bus service throughout the day taking to either side of the resort for skiing and hotels. Fantastic transport links with a stunning journey on the Oslo to Bergen line. A real gem!
