A great resort for a first time family ski holiday. Lots of gentle green and blue runs and plenty of snow. We went in Feb half term and the slopes weren't too busy, with no big queues for lifts. We used the ski school which I'm really glad we booked. The instructors were very friendly and encouraging. There were also lots of non skiing activities available e.g snow shoeing, dog Sledging, toboggan…

We loved Geilo. Such a peaceful, small town in beautiful surroundings. Good ski runs for families. Excellent shuttle bus service throughout the day taking to either side of the resort for skiing and hotels. Fantastic transport links with a stunning journey on the Oslo to Bergen line. A real gem!

Beautiful resort. Perfect for the kids who were beginners and adults who’ve not skied for over a decade. Lovely empty slopes even in school holidays and no lift queues.

The Vestlia Resort couldn't have been more perfect for our two families. There's so much for kids. The food itself was outstanding. Genuinely blown away by the quality that you could expect in a top UK restaurant. Slightly chaotic going at half term and with beautiful weather everyone was keen to get out on the slopes - but the kids loved it.

Geilo was a great resort for families. As well as beautiful scenery, the pistes are well maintained and there was lots of snow. We also really enjoyed a dog sledding trip.
