Excellent for families or beginner skiers. Lovely wide slopes, very quiet, no queues for lifts despite it being half term. Beautiful cozy log cabins only a few minutes walk from slopes. Somewhat limited slopes for variety/ hardcore skiing.

Geilo is perfect for families, quiet slopes, really helpful lift staff for children. One of our favourite places!

Lovely small town with several very nice restaurants and lots of little shops coffee shops etc beautiful area right next to a frozen lake. Easy to get around.

Would highly recommend Geilo for beginners and families. The Ski School was great and our teenage daughters progressed quickly over the week. It is a very chilled resort and easy to access both resort areas using the shuttle bus. Queues for lifts were minimal and it is a really beautiful area. If you want night life it is not the place to go as it is a quiet resort. Beautiful walks and opportuniti…
