Would highly recommend Geilo for beginners and families. The Ski School was great and our teenage daughters progressed quickly over the week. It is a very chilled resort and easy to access both resort areas using the shuttle bus. Queues for lifts were minimal and it is a really beautiful area. Huge resort, modern facilities, plenty to do for the kids. Brilliant for families, evening entertainment galore, plenty of food, ski in ski out. Brilliant time

Especially good for young families. Can be cold and the days a a bit shorter but there aren’t any queues!

Excellent family friendly ski resort . Ski pretty much from the door, selection of slopes. Great trainers for the little ones. Tasty selection of meals with buffet as well as fixed menu for evening. Access to Geilo town and slopes across the valley.

Lovely resort, both for children and adults. Skiing good, great for beginners and intermediates. Nice town for shopping and eating out and plenty of other activities for non skiers.
