A good range of slopes - ideal for families and beginners like us. We loved the fact that we had our own space in a cabin and could ski in and out to the slopes.

The resort was amazing, the sites were well cared for and the lifts were of a good standard. The bus was great too. Would definitely recommend.

Great for kids, ultimately meaning great for my wife and I. End of the season it was incredibly quiet and last day higher lifts were closed. Apparently it was fully booked for our first week, but pistes were very quiet, good for 3 young kids learning ages 4-8. Loads of snow, confidence building slopes. Transfer via train on the way there is amazing on the train, but with 3 tired kids on the way ba…

Loved the runs - great for 1 -2 days skiing.
Unbelievably quiet for Easter weekend.

Good suggestion from Andy Hemingway. Perfectly fitted our requirements. Gentle and beautiful and very quiet slopes. Brilliant for beginners and families. Especially good for children. Very convenient. Felt very safe. Professional and well organised English speaking ski school, good kit, and patient lift operators.

Ideal place for children to learn and adults not worry about kids roaming around a hotel and it's grounds.

Picking up the hire skis / boots was really well managed; with the prior information requested everything was ready fo…

Geilo was small but perfect for our week ski trip. It was easy to get to on the train and the hotel pick up worked well. The skiing was good, the slopes were a little short I thought but not having to queue and having empty pistes more than made up for it.

Geilo is not a particularly beautiful resort but there are lots of well maintained runs and we loved that we never had a queue to get on a lift. The resort was quiet and the runs are wide so it often felt as if we had the place to ourselves. Our son enjoyed ski school which took a slightly unconventional approach but was great fun. Make sure you allow plenty of time to collect equipment and lift p…
