A gem of a resort. A real winter wonderland with masses of snow. Slopes are close to accommodation and there is a regular bus service to take you around the resort. Nursery slopes and steeper tracks were close together so it was easy to keep everybody in the group together and happy.

Excellent resort for beginners and intermediates on a short break. We were there 5 days and it suited our group of six young at heart skiers perfectly as we don't want to clock up as many miles as possible in a day, we just want to enjoy our skiing at our own pace with no queues, good snow, empty pistes and stunning vistas, Ski buses worked well getting you from one side of resort to the other. Great resort for beginners or intermediates who lack confidence. Long blues and greens with great snow and no lift queues. Ski school for the children was first rate with English speaking instructors who made everything great fun. Everything in Norway is incredibly efficient and this also goes for Geilo. Skis and boots were there waiting for us, as were lift passes. Although the terrain is not tha…

Geilo was just right - yes not as challenging and big as traditional ski resorts in France, Austria etc, but absolutely adequate and guaranteed great snow at that time of year. The train journey up to Geilo from Oslo was a great experience.

A superb resort for beginners and plenty to keep intermediates occupied- either weaving through the trees or getting some speed up on the reds! We were lucky with the huge amounts of snow, and it made the whole landscape a joy to look at and quite different to the usual mountain views in the alps. Overall the resort was brilliant; the rental shop kit was brilliant quality, and the ski school staff…

We stayed in Geilo which was perfect for our requirements - a quiet resort for a family skiing holiday. The resort is small but very friendly and perfect for beginner / intermediate skiers.

The resort was picturesque, albeit covered in snow so all white! The ski school and chair lift is in walking (skiing distance if there is plenty snow) There was alack of snow (on the ground) due to a lot of rain when we arrived and it had become icy, therefore 'grit' had been spread on the pathway for safety, you wouldn't have wanted to ski over it as it would damage the ski's. A very quiet resor…

Having the hotel next to the ski shop and ski lifts was ideal and whilst the number of runs was a bit limited on the one side of the valley, it was fairly easy to get to the other side by bus. Bus timings didn't always tie in with our arrangements but we were a diverse group of abilities plus non skiers so that made things more complicated anyway. All in all it worked very well.
