Great resort, very family orientated, not too busy all facilities were excellent.

Great resort. Train station in centre so made transfers easy. Few queues for chair lifts. Posted well signposted. Travelling as a mixed ability group so slopes catered for that well although had skied all the runs within a week so may be limiting for others. Great snow despite being mild. Grooming excellent. Also one of our party used the medical services which were excellent.

All excellent. Geilo perfect downhill skiing for us with inexperienced skiers and helped them gain huge confidence. Loved the night skiing and other winter holiday activities - cross country skiing, husky sledding and horse sledging.

A lovely resort accessible from both sides of the mountain. We stayed at the Vestlia Resort so spent most of our time on that side of the mountain. We were skiing with our 2 young children who had only had a ski-taster before, and the green runs were long and wide from the top of the mountain (and not just restricted to the nursery slopes). Geilo is a fantastic resort for first and second time family ski holidays. Easy, quiet slopes and accommodation very close to ski school.

The ski resort itself was about perfect for a first ever family ski trip, with parents snowboarding for the first time in 15 years. The slopes are wide and very easy to navigate, and although they are generally green and blue with a few reds (with lots of terrain parks), the lack of crowds on the lifts and on the slopes makes life a breeze and time on the mountain a dream. We were there in half …

Great for families. Lots of pistes if you explore both sides of the valley, although the kids preferred staying at the Vestlia side for the ski park!

Great for beginners and young families. Ski in and ski out was terrific with the kids. Resort is split over two sides of the valley and you need to use a bus to go to the other side - that was a disadvantage with small children. Lifts and facilities were good and the resort is not busy, which was a huge advantage as beginners.
