The Geilo resort was excellent again. The proximity of the accommodation to the slopes is perfect and because we took a late holiday this year the slopes were very quiet so plenty of time was spent skiing and not queuing. Arrangements for ski hire and ski school worked very well. The Geilo resort is ideal for families and skiing beginners. A bus service allows you to get around the resort and the …

3rd time we've been here and it's improving all the time with some nice little changes and as we become more familiar. Perfect beginner resort for young families and timid mums! Not a huge ski area but that doesn't matter as there is something for everyone of all abilities. The late season snow is really well looked after and we didn't have one queue all week!

Good skiing for beginners, across 2 mountains, easy bus service linking the 2. Short runs and limited for more advanced skiers
Very quiet which was perfect for the kids and nice to have a mountain all to myself for the morning. Night skiing and early morning skiing a nice option.

A quiet and very safe resort with a fantastic ski school. Great place for kids' first ski holiday.

This is the second time we’ve been to Geilo and we would definitely return again. If you like wide, empty slopes and excellent snow beautifully pisted then you will love Geilo. If you are an expert skier wanting big challenges then maybe not. But this is brilliant for families, intermediates and beginners or for those of us who would rather have the slopes to themselves with no queues rather than …

We went to Geilo the week before the Easter hols - really quiet slopes, great instructors, and good variety of slopes including a junior and full ski park - I think we've probably got another trip in us before we've exhausted the slopes and novelty, and if you're looking for nightlife and or 100s of kms of pistes like in France Trois Vallees etc, then this is not for you, but otherwise, if you enj…

Nice resort for families where a winter holiday is more important than hardcore skiing all day.

Geilo was perfect for our requirements - helping friends gain confidence on their second week on snow. Geilo has 2 hills. The easier hill had easy access from our lovely hotel, the Vestlia, which was ski in ski out. The regular ski bus took about 5 minutes to the centre of town, and 10 minutes to the other hill. Although Geilo does not have mile upon mile of piste, there was enough to ski for a we…

Good location to help get your ski legs back if you haven't skied for a while. Also plenty of cross country routes if you want to have a break from the slopes and the crowds, although for our stay the resort was visually empty of skiers. Resort is clean and an ideal location for skiing from the hotel straight on to the lifts and mountain. Everything was easily located and all the staff were friend…
