We thought Geilo was magical; the views from the mountains was beautiful, especially in the morning light. We were essentially beginner skiers, so the ski school instruction and the range of slopes was ideal. Snow-cover was perfect. We chose to try-out mushing with proper racing huskies during our stay. Perfect resort for families. It was our third visit and we all loved it! Friendly atmosphere and great ski instructors. Highly recommended. Took the train from Oslo to Geilo - works well, comfy and easy trip. Airport train is smart and very easy too.

Resort was great. Good for beginner and intermediate skiers and still some slopes for the more adventurous.

Very user friendly resort. Skiing worked for our mixed abilities tho we had done it all before the end of our time there. Amazing snow this year.

A great resort for a week. Friendly staff and our youngest son really enjoyed his terrain park ski lessons. Unfortunately it was very windy a couple of days which meant the chairlifts were inoperable. This reduced access to much of the slopes, particularly for our experienced teenage son. However, despite this there was always some area of the slopes which were accessible albeit by pommel and t-ba…
