Staying in the Vestlia Resort side of the resort gave immediate access to the slopes there, but a bus shuttle is required to get to the other side. The bus timetable makes it seem a little confusing - even the hotel staff were confused! I almost don't want to tell anyone about this gem of a resort. Super resort, so very close to the lifts, everything was perfect for us. We will come again.

A divided ski area with fifteen or so runs outside the Vestilia Resort back door and a further fifteen or so ten minutes away on the other side of the valley. All the facilities were well maintained and effective with a clear focus on families, learners and intermediates.

Great skiing for beginners, loads of snow and great food. Easy to get to from Bergen airport on the train. Highly recommended.

Geilo and the Vestlia Resort Hotel proved to be superb for our holiday. Skiing was excellent except for the wind closing the resort on one of the days. We were a group of 3 couples and on the half board rate, I must admit the prospect of a fixed dinner menu was not great but the food was excellent and a real treat. Comfy, clean and super family friendly without losing a little feel of luxury. Staff helpful and professional and facilities including room, pool, play room were excellent. Ski Hire were friendly and helpful and Ski school great as well. We’ll definitely be heading back!
