Geilo is an amazing, family-friendly resort, perfect for kids and/or beginner/intermediate adults. Instructors all speak perfect English and are very friendly. We have been twice and would love to go again.

Geilo was a great introduction for our kids to learn to ski - they loved it. The ski school, hire shop and lifts were right on the doorstep to the Vestlia Resort which was so convenient. The Vestlia Resort had great facilities and high quality food. We couldn't fault it.

Excellent for ski area for families. Lovely friendly atmosphere on the slopes. We were a group of 11 aged between 3 and 60 plus and the resort worked perfectly for us as a group.

Perfect for beginners, on the south Vestlia resort side, a handful of more challenging runs on the Bardola side of the resort. Vestlia is perfect for young families, soft play in snow train kept the kids entertained the entire journey! It is a bit of faff changing trains at Oslo Central. Really nice place for kids or new skiers. Not high runs. Hotel was excellent. Covid rules just put a damper on things a little. But would like to take grandkids again.

Quiet, compact, walkable, picturesque; all that was missing was sufficient snow. Ski School was excellent, ski hiring process simple, relaxed and efficient. Not too many restaurants but plenty of supermarkets for the self caterer. And a stunning journey to the resort from Oslo by train.

Lovely resort - particularly for families and beginners. Very friendly and the Vestlia's location right by the lift was perfect.

Staying in the Vestlia Resort side of the resort gave immediate access to the slopes there, but a bus shuttle is required to get to the other side. The bus timetable makes it seem a little confusing - even the hotel staff were confused!
