The Green Leaf Niseko Village, Tapestry Collection by Hilton Customer Reviews

The green leaf Niseko was a nice hotel. Ski in ski out. Ski rental options at the hotel were so-so if you are really in to skis/skiing and know what you want but overall I would imagine for the average visitor it’s fine. We chose to rent in Hirafu from Rhythm. The transport options provided by the hotel to the Hilton/Hirafu etc were excellent. The hotel offers an hourly private coach and anyone with the Niseko United lift pass can also use the local ski bus for free. The room size in the green leaf was good with excellent (really excellent) wifi. The bathroom was adequate and compact. The only minor criticism was that options for drying ski gear are limited in the room. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was okay. Plenty of options for western or Japanese diet. The coffee was pretty poor. Everything else was good. We didn’t eat dinner there. The onsen is split male/female and is very nice with Internal and external onsen pools. There is also a large swimming pool which is unisex. The only criticism is that there is nowhere to hang a towel by the pool meaning you walk back into the onsen changing rooms wet ( you are supposed to dry off before entering the changing rooms from the onsen, but from the pool there really isn’t much of an option to do that). The staff were very nice and polite. The bar at the front of the hotel is okay. The staff seemed a bit distracted and frequently had to come and re-confirm orders on the three occasions we went there for a drink. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff were friendly. Night skiing is an option from the green leaf but it’s limited to a couple of small easy runs it shares with the Hilton. The night skiing runs in the Hirafu area are more extensive.

Room was good with a good view. Breakfast buffet was excellent. Evening buffet a bit variable, we ate there first and last night. Major problem was that our room faced south and as the weather was sunny for most of our stay the room became far too hot. There is no aircon and the windows open a tiny amount. It was quite uncomfortable especially for my wife who wasn't skiing. The ski-in/out part was brilliant, the easiest of anywhere I've ever stayed.
