4* Nozo Hotel

Tucked away from the main road and screened by tall trees, the Nozo Hotel is positioned against the snowy backdrop of the Kitanomine ski area. Whilst this isn't a ski-in ski-out hotel, it is just 400 metres from the gondola, a five-minute walk away, so slope access is very convenient.

Dining options at the Nozo include Shirakaba Restaurant, which serves an international menu using locally grown produce and seasonal ingredients. It's the perfect place for a relaxing lunch or a cosy dinner and is where you’ll enjoy the buffet-style breakfast which is included in your stay.

The Buna Bar Lounge, meanwhile, has an inviting central fireplace and a large terrace - a friendly hub to chill out and enjoy a drink. Then, the Cou Cou Bakery, based in the main lobby, sells a selection of breads and pastries that you can grab and go on the way to the first lifts.

After a long day of skiing, rest and rejuvenate at the Sugi Spa, which includes a public onsen-inspired bath, cold bath and sauna. There's also a well-equipped gym, with weights, treadmills and cross-trainers if you like to maintain your gym fix while you're away.

For families with little ones, there's a fabulous little playroom - The Kids Room - filled with games, toys and books.
