You'll ski up to six resorts across Utah, all conveniently drivable from your two bases in Ogden and Cottonwood and all featuring on the Ikon Pass. You can access far more skiing this way, accessing a total of 12,390 acres of varied and challenging terrain.
The longest drive to a resort is a swift one hour and 10 minutes, so you can still easily ski first to last lift, spending all day charging down the best powder-covered slopes in Utah.
First up is the laid-back locals' town of Ogden, less than an hour's drive from Salt Lake City Airport and the ideal base for skiing Snowbasin. Despite its credentials as one of the USA's oldest continually operating ski resorts and the downhill host of the 2002 Winter Olympics (not to mention its modern lifts and swanky day lodges), Snowbasin is still under the radar for international skiers. All the better for enjoying the long groomers, amazing tree skiing and heart-racing chutes all to yourself.
After exceptional skiing in Snowbasin, you'll drive one hour and 10 minutes to Cottonwood for a pick 'n' mix of skiing across Solitude, Brighton, Snowbird, and Alta. Deer Valley is also within reach, although being furthest from Cottonwood, we recommend staying four nights in Park City for easier access. All of these resorts (along with Snowbasin) feature on the Ikon Pass, so it's completely up to how you divide your time. We'd like to suggest wherever had the most snow the night before!
Although all the resorts are must-visits for powder hunters, we recommend the more advanced and confident skiers prioritise their time to tear through Snowbird and Alta's interconnecting double-blacks, steep tree runs, and fantastic off-piste terrain which isn't for the faint-hearted and will keep you on the edge of your skis!
