Deer Valley ski holidays are unashamedly upmarket. Expensive yet unpretentious, the resort attracts discerning skiers who’ll happily pay for the highest standards in North America, and it's no surprise it's been voted the United States' Best Ski Resort consecutively from 2013 to 2025 by the World Ski Awards.

With terrain for all levels of skier, intermediates are particularly fond of the corduroy cruisers, and advanced skiers have quiet powder glades, which rarely get tracked out. To give the very best experience, the number of piste-users are restricted on busy days, so the slopes are never overcrowded.

The exceptionally high levels of customer service never fail to impress us. Local restaurants and bars are upscale and elegant, while the overall atmosphere is welcoming and family friendly.

Deer Valley is part of Park City Town, so it’s only a five-minute shuttle ride to the bars, restaurants, galleries and boutiques on Main Street. And with several other resorts nearby, Deer Valley works well on a Utah Ski Safari.

"Beautiful, with impeccable service, Deer Valley is the resort of choice for elite US skiers. If you want to stay in the resort itself, it does come at a price - however, it’s only a 5-10 minute shuttle ride from other accommodation options in the town of Park City."

Accommodation in Deer Valley

Deer Valley is a place to indulge. Dotted beside the slopes and in the Silver Valley mid-station, the opulent hotels and luxury condos are mostly ski-in ski-out, with free shuttles to Park City’s shops and amenities. We’ve stayed at or visited all our Deer Valley accommodation options, so call us for advice and we’ll recommend the best ones for you.

Customer Reviews

What our customers say about Deer Valley.

Service levels from kerbside to mountain tops as high as promised. Vibe is comfortable Old Money during the week, slightly brasher New Money Friday & Saturday. Piste grooming really is the best you have seen.

Deer Valley is great if you are a skier and don't want to share the trails with snowboarders. There is a reasonable amount of varied skiing, although if you want extensive advanced stuff and off piste you can always hop over to Park City. Free bus system is great, lots of restaurants in Main St, and Park City is a real town with lots of character.

Deer Valley is an amazing ski resort and the Zermatt is an inexpensive, safe, comfortable place to stay.

We stayed at Black Bear Lodge - very spacious condo with private hot tub on balcony, very well equipped and cleaned/bed made every day. Courtesy shuttle with lovely helpful drivers which runs until 10pm so you can go down to dinner in Main St. no problem. Less than 5 minute walk from Silver Lake base - no lift queues in the morning as you're halfway up the mountain already.

Great ski-ing with lots of variety. Easy to get to Park City and Canyons with the excellent free bus system for a change of scene - and these two are now linked by lifts, so ski area is extensive. Pick your timeof year wisely and lift queues are few and far between. Deer Valley itself is not a lot of fun apres-ski, but Park City Main Street is a short drive away. Park City is a nice town to be in…

The skiing at Deer Valley is superb. Service and facilities are better than I have experienced anywhere in 30 years of experience.

Fantastic skiing, but limited apres ski in Park City and none to speak of in Deer Valley

Highest quality resort (expensive but worth it). If you want more variety you can ski Park City

Great resort, love the fact there are no snowboarders. Easy access to Park City and Canyons means good selection of skiing. Quick easy transfer.
