Utah & National Parks Ski Safari Customer Reviews

Great trip, Utah is a beautiful state and this itinerary really shows you a lot of it in just 2 weeks. The length of time recommended for each part of the trip (Park City/Bryce/Zion/Las Vegas) was perfect. Also I think that the national parks recommended for the trip are definitely the best ones to see, as there are others in Utah - Canyonlands, Arches etc (this is based on what other travellers told me). The ski resorts in Park City are excellent and give you great choice, especially for intermediate skiers. And if you are more advanced, you have the option to drive to Snowbird and Alta which is a major attraction.

Vegas was great - not much to add there (the Encore was fab). We did the helicopter lift to the Canyon, among other things. My missus started with "what is this place" and finished with "this place is great - lets come back later in the year" Road trip was splendid. The Monument Valley hotel (in the park - what a view) and the one in Moab that we did ourselves were both great, if you need the details. Even the last day when we took the back road from Moab to I-70 was mind blowing.

Bryce Canyon and Zion - Absolutely amazing - in all weather snow/wind/rain/sun in only 5 days. We had a hire car (a must for this part of the safari) which gives you flexibility. Bryce - rose coloured rock formations which from the western rim, you look down into the amphitheatres of 'hoodoos' at various viewing points. You can also walk down among the tower rock formations. Zion - here you start in the valley and look up to towering mountains, sandstone cliffs, canyons, waterfalls and emerald pools. There are many walks of varying difficulties - the most memorable and challenging was to Scouts Look Out then up to Angels Landing (quite steep in places with chains to help you). We started and return to Salt Lake City not Las Vegas. Adding the road trip to the 9 days skiing really made the trip memorable and special.

Just wanted to say thank you for helping organise such an excellent holiday – the itinerary was spot on in terms of days in each place James, and your suggestion to get the Canyon’s only pass was a good one, in seven days we struggled to get round the whole area as we kept going back down runs we enjoyed!! The driving and the maps were as easy as you said also! And thanks for your help whilst away Kirstin, your quick response was appreciated when we were unsure of what Delta was going to do for us when the flight was cancelled! (service was actually really good, and we seemed to get a business class seat on the shuttle to LA!)

Excellent itinerary. Great choice of ski areas in Park City, great drive south, appreciated recommendations from your staff. Although impressed with Bryce Canyon, found Best Western Bryce Canyon Grand hotel did not match the high standard of accommodation during the rest of our trip. There was only one place to eat! Appreciate there was not a lot of choice but feel its worth commenting on. Loved Cable Mountain Lodge at Zion. Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas also great choice.
