3*+ Tantalus Lodge

Repeat visitors to the tantalus, a short walk from the slopes and town action (there is a shuttle for when you are in clobber), but away from the noise and the nightlife. Love being able to self cater, kitchen had all the usual bits. Rooms big, living area comfy, pool wet, hot tubs hot! even a little cabin sauna in the pool area - which is outside, so you can hot tub in the snow. laundry facilities worked, but $4 per wash or dry so need some cash, reception has change. Hot chocolate in the lobby for apres ski, Still works well for us now the kids are grown up.

Was initially disappointed upon arrival as the room smelt a little of damp and smoke, but after a day or so after being lived in that went away. The bedrooms and toilets were very comfortable and clean. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything you need to make a decent breakfast or evening meal should you wish. The rooms were cleaned daily and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The jacuzzi, sauna and pool were perfect for soothing aching limbs at the end of the day. On certain days free hot chocolate was provided in reception which was a nice touch upon arriving back from skiing. Its not that far from the piste to the Tantalus Hotel/Apartments, but a shuttle constantly runs from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm to ferry you to and from the ski resort. This journey takes less than a few mins but saves your legs trying to walk in ski boots, especially if you have small children. Would definitely recommend.
