3* Blackcomb Lodge

We stayed at Glacier Lodge in Blackcomb or as they like to call it Whistler upper Village. We have stayed at this property twice before and knew it well. The reasons it suits us are location and the facilities to be able to cook.The rooms are quite spacious and the kitchen area is well equipped and spacious. The beds are a double and a single sofa bed. My only criticism of the accommodation in fact is that the beds are not the most comfortable. The bar within the same building, known as the Fitz, is great for apres and has some live music although it is quite small. The distance to the Wizard lift is a short walk say 5 mins. The two hot tubs and outdoor pool are both good and there is a gym which I haven't tried. The property is about 10 mins walk from Whistler main village although there are buses it is almost as easy to walk.

Blackcomb Lodge is located right in the centre of the village about 100m from the main gondola stations. The 2 bed apartment was a good size with ensuite facilities, lounge area and well equipped kitchen so that you could cook fo yourselves if you wanted. This was really handy for breakfasts before going up on the mountain. The Lodge has a good indoor pool, hot tub and sauna facility and was surprisingly quiet considering its location. We've been there twice and would definitely go again"
