Why Tremblant?

Tremblant is possibly the ultimate family resort. The relatively short flight, quick transfer, excellent ski school and colourful, compact resort centre all combine to provide a fantastic option for families.  Those who are looking for their first Canadian skiing experience or are more limited on time are on to a winner.

Located just 1½ hours north of Montréal, Tremblant is a host of brightly painted clapboard buildings all clustered around the pedestrianised main street. The majority of properties are ski in/out or within easy reach of the Village Cabriolet which whisks you through town to the main gondola. Trust us, the kids will love it.

The Skiing

The ski area offers a surprisingly big variety of skiing with over half the mountain appropriate for advanced skiers. Novices will appreciate being able to ski down from nearly any lift, making life much easier for mixed ability groups. For the more adventurous there is some fantastic glade skiing and also a well-equipped snowpark.

Off the Slopes

There is so much more on offer here than just the skiing! The resort frequently puts on evening activities geared towards children and at the end of the ski day the village becomes an open-air theatre complete with fire-eaters, clowns on stilts and live music. The gorgeous Scandinave Spa is just 10 minutes away. Closer to home the children will love Aquaclub La Source with its indoor and outdoor pool and hot tubs. There's also ice-skating on the Lac Miroir and a cinema showing all the latest releases.

Accommodation

There is a great range of good value hotel and condo accommodation in the resort. Standards are high throughout and all the properties are within easy reach of the centre of resort and the skiing. The Kandahar and Ermitage du Lac offer comfortable, modern units and are extremely affordable. At the luxury end, the Quintessence never fails to blow us away with its classic and elegant opulence.

City Add-On

If you have a bit more time, why not consider adding on a night or two in Montréal. It's a vibrant and attractive city with great shopping in the underground malls, world-renowned museums and theatres and a fantastic variety of dining options. It is easy to include and a really affordable way of adding an extra dimension to your trip.
