Expert Opinion

"I really like Tremblant as it is so easy to get to. It has a distinctly French feel but with the Canadian level of service. Don’t miss the Scandinave Spa near the resort with its hot & cold pools and the chance to jump into a half frozen river. Tremblant is also perfect for a combined break with Montréal for great shopping in the underground malls."

Located in the pretty Laurentian Mountains one and a half hour's drive north of Montréal, Tremblant is Eastern Canada's best known ski resort and a winner as a family holiday destination.

The skiing is appropriate for a mixed ability group and as Tremblant resort is compact, it is easy to get from your accommodation to the hill. The Telecabine takes you straight to the top of the mountain, from where you can ski back to the village on green, blue, black or double black runs. Whether you prefer snowparks or glade skiing, Tremblant offers a great variety of terrain and with its excellent ski school, it couldn't be more convenient.

Tremblant village is a tightly knitted clutch of brightly coloured buildings set along a pedestrianised street of boutiques and restaurants. At the bottom of the hill, Vieux-Tremblant has enticing cafes and bistros housed in cosy wooden cabins.

At the end of the ski day the village often becomes an open-air theatre complete with fire-eaters, clowns on stilts, and live music. Other entertainment includes skating on Lac Miroir, the excellent 'La Source' water fun park and a cinema showing the latest releases.

Private Transfers - Avoid waiting for your transfer at the airport by upgrading to a private transfer - this is particularly recommended for the outward journey.

Ideal for Families - A shorter flight, easy transfers and good value for money make Tremblant a good choice for families. The central La Source aquaclub is an excellent family-friendly leisure pool with an outdoor hot tub. The resort frequently puts on evening activities and entertainment geared towards children. There is skating behind the chapel and a cinema.

Le Scandinave Spa - An absolute must on a trip to Tremblant is a visit to Le Scandinave Spa, a 1- minute drive from Tremblant - saunas, steam rooms, hot and cold pools and for those brave enough, a dip in the river. Massages and other treatments are also available.

Montreal City Stay - a night in this vibrant city before or after your skiing is easy to arrange and a great addition to your holiday. The city's underground network of shops will keep you busy and if culture is more your thing, there are world-renowned museums and theatres.
