Marketing Position – Maternity Cover  12 months

        Role start date: July/August 2016
Application closing date: Thursday 12 May 2016

    About the Job

We’re looking for a professional and fun person to join the marketing team from July / August 2016 whilst our Marketing Manager is on maternity leave. The role will be varied and interesting and potentially cover both ski and cycling brands, and the level of the role is flexible depending on the applicant.

Working closely with the marketing and product teams you’ll be able to easily interpret sales objectives into meaningful and understandable consumer messages.  You’ll manage and implement marketing campaigns to specific audiences that generate awareness, enquiries and sales, across a variety of channels. These include producing great on- and off-site multi-media content, social, PR, paid search, direct / database marketing, partnership marketing and media planning / buying.

    Essential Skills

    • Able to demonstrate experience of managing marketing campaigns (ideally across multiple channels) that generate results
    • Excellent copywriting skills with the ability to write within brand guidelines and tone of voice
    • Good attention to detail and ability to capture inaccuracies and inconsistencies
    • Good understanding of social media guidelines and best practices
    • Good understanding of Paid Search guidelines and best practices
    • Good understanding of SEO guidelines and best practices
    • Experience using an ESP platform
    • Proficient user of Google Analytics
    • Numerate and analytical - able to distil and interpret results

    About You

You might be an experienced marketer working in a similar role but not necessarily within travel; come from a marketing agency background with experience in a particular specialism (e.g. paid search or social) but keen to apply those skills (and learn more!) in a multi-channel client-side environment; or, you may be an established freelancer with capacity to focus a few days each week on one brand on a part-time basis.

The ideal candidate has excellent copywriting skills and a practical understanding of digital marketing guidelines and best practices. A passion for travel is vital and, whilst you might not be a skier/boarder or leisure cyclist (yet!), you’d be keen - and willing - to learn.

Dependent on experience, plus generous company benefits - including overseas travel to experience the product first-hand and a performance related bonus.

    How to Apply
