European Ski & Cycling Specialist

Closing Date 15 September 2014

We have a rapidly expanding programme to our European ski and cycling destinations that has created an opportunity to join our team at Ski Safari & Freedom Treks. This is a varied role and you'll get to work on two exciting travel brands. The ideal candidate will be a keen skier/snowboarder and/or cyclist with experience of selling those types of holidays. You should have good general knowledge of the resorts that we feature in Europe and be well travelled – ideally on skis & two wheels!

For ski you will be talking to customers, making suggestions based on your knowledge and preparing tailored quotations on a daily basis. First-hand knowledge of ski resorts in Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and Austria in particular will be a distinct advantage for this particular role.

For the cycling side of our business you will be advising customers on which of our 200+ cycling tours across Europe will best suit them, and tailoring the standard tours by adding on pre and post-tour city stays. Once a tour has been booked, you will be working with our suppliers to make sure all the arrangements for a fantastic cycling holiday are in place and then sending out tickets and tour details to the customer.

This role is highly varied and you will also be involved in keeping our website up to date, managing our supplier relationships and contributing to marketing output too. All candidates must have a passion for skiing/snowboarding and/or cycling and willingness to learn about new products. You must also have a desire to deliver very high levels of customer service.

If you are interested please email your CV with a covering letter explaining what you can bring to our business by the closing date shown to

Marketing Executive

Closing Date 19 September 2014

We’re looking for a professional and fun person to join the marketing team as Marketing Executive. You’ll be responsible for managing campaigns within brand guidelines, budgets and deadlines, which sell the benefits of the service we provide and accurately reflects the Ski Safari and Freedom Treks’ values.

Reporting into the marketing manager and working closely with the product teams you’ll be able to easily interpret sales objectives into meaningful and understandable consumer messages.  You’ll manage and implement marketing campaigns that generate awareness, enquiries and sales, across a variety of channels – from onsite content and social media, to email broadcasts, PR and AdWords campaigns.

You might be an experienced marketer working in a similar role right now – but not necessarily within travel - or you might currently work in a digital marketing agency with experience in a particular specialism (for example, paid search or social media) but are keen to move client side and apply those skills – along with a desire to learn more - in a multi-channel environment.

The ideal candidate has excellent copywriting skills, an eye for design and a practical understanding of digital marketing guidelines and best practices.

A passion for travel is vital, and whilst you might not be a skier/boarder or leisure cyclist (yet!), you’d be keen - and willing - to learn.

£25-28k dependent on experience, plus generous company benefits - including overseas travel to experience the product first-hand and a performance related bonus.
