Good facilities and great ski school for kids. Lots of ski runs available for experienced or beginners level, but fairly limited in intermediate level. Great for tree skiing!

Ski Safari assured us that although we we skiing late (3rd week in April), Winter Park would have great snow... and so it proved. A great mountain with loads of variety in the runs, a spacious apartment, friendly resort staff and fresh snow every other day... it was a long way to go, but well worth it.

conveniently situated a couple of hours drive from Denver, very friendly and catering for all abilities. A wide variety of trails, some above tree level but most tree lined. If you have no car then a free bus or shuttle is needed to reach the supermarket and liquor stores which are about 2 or 3 miles from the ski base

Winter Park is a fairly quiet resort. Most of the restaurants are along the main road, with a good selection at Cooper Creek Square. We would particularly recommend Alberto's (Italian) and Carlos & Maria's (Mexican). We also really enjoyed the food & atmosphere at Deno's Mountain Bistro which has a good sized bar area and is just over the road from Cooper Creek Square. The free shuttle bus service…

Just returned from a fantastic two and a half weeks in Winter Park. Right at the end of the season so very quiet on the slopes and in the village - had standard adult lessons with just two of us on many occasions! Very good kids ski school, particularly the 'Just because I'm 3' programme. Had our 3 year old doing blue runs by the end of the holiday having never been on skis before. Lessons for the…

Enjoy the bumps of Mary Jane or powder in the glades, Winter Park has a bit of everything. Quiet nightlife, so great for families

I'm not sure about encouraging too many others to discover the delights of Winter Park , fantastic ski area , only an hour and a half from Denver , not for party animals as there are few restaurants in the resort , but as a family we loved our second trip there

Winter park is an excellent resort with plenty of space and no where near the same crowds i've experienced in some of the european resorts. Took me a while to get used to the altitude, which i'm not sure I fully did..... The resort itself is small and has everything you need, but to fully appreciate the area I would recommend a hire car as there is so much more to do in the surrounding area. If yo…

The skiing in Winter Park is fantastic and could not be faulted, it is worth pointing out that there are very few restaurants in the resort itself and you need to take a bus or 2 to get to them and to do major grocery shopping, but we used the excellent winter park concierge service which although expensive meant everything was in our condo on arrival

Overall resort had a good feel, the village was not as finished as they advertised with 2 out of 3 restaurants not yet open, the town was very friendly, weekends very busy
