Swish town with nice shops and some very good restaurants off the mountain. Quite an expansive ski area with a good mix of skiing. Lift queues can be pretty long , though, and the resort really fills up at weekends.

One of the best places to ski. Backbowls...with 35' snow in the week, can it get any better than that!

At the end of the season 75% was still open including Blue Sky Basin and only one lift not operational. It was very quiet which was great and no lift queues at any time, even at the weekends.

Arrived at the end of March. Tons of snow and every day was different. We stayed at The Lodge at Vail which provided first rate condo accommodation. The service was excellent and it was near the ski hire shop and the slopes. The runs were varied and superb, with a vast choice of terrain. These were served by fast lifts and a selection of runs from each peak covering mixed abilities. Blue sky basin…

Lost some of it's 'Tyrolean' charm since my last visit a long time ago as more modern buildings spring up but still a huge and fun ski area. Bowl skiing is great fun and the only thing in short supply is the steep stuff. Pedestrianised centre offers easy nights out with loads of decent restaurants.

Slopes themselves were amazing. We had the best snow ever and it made the holiday. Back bowls out of this world. Black and double black diamonds, powder and tree runs loads of fun.
